The organizing committee of the Heart Failure Society, India takes great pleasure in announcing that the World Heart Failure Society will be holding its 2nd annual conference from 9th – 11th October 2009 at PGIMER Chandigarh, India. It is for the first time that the WHFS has chosen India for its annual get together.

With improved health care for coronary and valvular heart diseases, these patients are surviving longer and presenting with heart failure. This apart from other reasons has made heart failure a burning problem throughout the Globe.

This conference will address the issue of heart failure from bench to bedside. We will have sessions on basic sciences to improve our understanding of heart failure as well as recent advances, which can be applied in the real life. Our expert national and international faculty will share their experiences and insights in tackling heart failure and discuss the latest techniques and technologies available around the world.
